New Zealand Whitewater Academy (NZWA) endeavours to provide top-of-the-line tours, whitewater kayak instruction and excursions, above and beyond any adventure tourism provider out there.
We set a new norm in kayak instruction with skills workshops designed for all levels, from beginner to advanced, with a focus on some of the untouched areas of the country for a complete experience that is second to none. We also offer fully customisable tours for the heartiest of whitewater adventurers – from high quality and exciting day tours to workshops & multi-day expeditions.
Everyone at NZWA is committed to providing you with the best service possible, to equip you with critical knowledge and skill and to provide the most up-to-date safety equipment – all while experiencing one of the best whitewater playgrounds on the planet.
Come and learn the basics of whitewater kayaking or let us help you develop the skill you already have. Our whitewater kayaking courses at NZWA are very flexible, meaning we can tailor them to everybody’s individual paddling needs and skill levels. Our courses are designed to be fun and educational for all ages – from 13 and beyond! Our instructors all have first aid training, and we allow a max of only four students/clients per each instructor. More than four in your group? No worries! We will bring in other instructors as needed!
